My name is Dan Meehan, and I manage the San Diego/Point Loma South Swell Sports location. I also do team sales, and work as a regional manager for the company. I grew up playing lacrosse in Bay shore, New York. After high school I went on to play at Washington College in Chestertown, Maryland. Since graduating from WAC, I have lived in San Diego and have grown to really love Southern California. I have been coaching and playing lacrosse in SoCal since arriving on the west coast in 2002. I coach the offense for the Coronado High School Varsity lacrosse team in the spring. I also coach the San Diego Laxdawgs Elite club team in the summer and winter. I play for Quiksilver lacrosse club in the SoCal post-collegiate men’s league, and play with and help GM the San Diego Tropics club team.
For the last 23 years, lacrosse has been a huge part of my life. Growing up playing on Long Island, and playing college lacrosse in Maryland, I had only ever lived in areas that were rich in history and tradition with regards to lacrosse. It has been great living in San Diego, and working/coaching/playing in the lacrosse community in SoCal. Since 2002, I have seen such tremendous growth in the game out West as far as numbers and the level of play. The game is newer in this area of the country, but San Diego, SoCal, and the West in general have taken huge steps forward to develop the game in a positive direction, and create its own history and tradition for the sport. This side of the country has become an area that produces top talent, and it’s only getting better. That growth has been incredible to see, and really fun to be involved with locally. Store Review:
Our San Diego store, located just outside of downtown San Diego has been at its current location for over 4 years. Catering to the San Diego lacrosse community our store is filled with all your favorite lacrosse equipment and apparel from all the major brands. With a wall stocked full of Adrenaline Socks in over 50 different colors we want to make sure that you get exactly what you want while you are in our store. Open Monday thru Friday 11-7, Saturday 10-5 and Sunday 11-4, we are here 7 days a week with a friendly staff to help you find the right equipment that fits your style of game. If you are new to the sport, all of our employees are trained in fitting the lacrosse equipment to work just for you. We make sure that when you leave our store, you have the best equipment that works for you at our lowest price guarantee.
