As much as I love maverik gear, I must say these are not the best armpads I have ever used. I like them and I think they will last for a while, but I can feel the harder checks and they are not as flexible as some of the arm guareds I have used. Although with armguards flexibility is probably not your biggest issue. I think that they are worth buying but try them at the store to make sure they are what you want.

These pads are very good. They offer the same protection as more expensive arm pads and there snug design prevent constant slipping. I recommend this to any player on a budget.
