Hello, my name is Andrew Baldwin; I am the lacrosse manager for the South Swell Sport in Houston, TX. I had been with the Swell for three years under the employment of the Austin manager, Brian Henning. During those years I spent a lot of time coaching leagues with Brian, running camps with Noah Fink, and helping out with clinics around town. MY lacrosse career started in the 5th grade, when I lived Austin and played for the N.W.A.Y.L.A. In High School I ultimately gave up on baseball to focus more on lacrosse while still managing time for off season training for football. I played lacrosse at McCallum High School where I was a member of the varsity team for the four years. After High school I went to work to make money for school and that is when I found South Swell. Lacrosse and the Swell have given so much to me that I feel obligated to give back to the Texas Lacrosse Community.
The stick that I use when I play lacrosse is a STX Surgeon on a 1 Lacrosse Cutter Elite strung up with an in-house custom strung pocket. Lacrosse is the game that I love, and it is the reason that I enjoy my job so much. So if you need an expert view on lacrosse come to our Houston location and ask myself or anyone else on staff to help you.
Our Houston store is in a location where a Lacrosse store has been for over 6 years. We are the only store of its kind in the area and with our dedicated sale staff we will insure you are receiving the correct gear for your position and skill level. If you are new to the sport then come in and let our trained employees help fit you in the gear that works just for you. Our store hours are M-F 11am-7pm, Saturday from 10am-5pm, and Sunday from 11am-4pm. We are located just north of HWY 59 inside the 610 loop, our address is 3601 W. Alabama St. Houston, TX. 77027. Christian Zaleski
Hello Houston! My name is Christian Zaleski, and I am the manager of the Adrenaline Lacrosse store (formerly South Swell Sports) in Houston. I’m a native Houstonian with deep roots in the lacrosse community. I started playing lacrosse in 8th grade at River Oaks Baptist, and continued playing at Episcopal High School. In 1999, I was all-state honorable mention goalie and in 2000, I was a first team all-state goalie, as well as team MVP. I continued playing at Hampden-Sydney College. After graduation, I moved back to Houston, and started coaching at Episcopal in 2006 as a goalie coach, and still coach there today. I was the head coach at St. Francis Middle School in 2009-10. I’m also currently the goalie coach for the Houston Hurricanes Lacrosse Club team.
So, my area of expertise is goalies, but with my years of experience in the local lacrosse community, I have an in depth knowledge of all positions and the game itself.
With the help of Adrenaline Lacrosse, parents, and coaches, my goal is to make Houston the hot spot for Texas lacrosse. IF you have any questions about equipment, local leagues or lacrosse in general, please feel free to contact the store and I would be glad to speak with you.
